Celtic Football Club
Formed in 1888, Glasgow Celtic were founded first and foremost as a vehicle for providing the East End of Glasgow's impoverished Irish Community with much needed money for food and shelter. A hundred years on, Celtic have evolved to become one of the UKs largest football clubs. Celtic Park, (or Parkhead) is currently Britain's largest, most modern and most atmospheric stadium. With a capacity of just over 60,000, it has dramatically risen from it's own rubble within the last five years and has become a landmark in Glasgow's East End. |

Rangers Football Club
Rangers were established in 1873 for the love of the game. Throughout their history they have been devoted to playing the game of football as it is intended to be played - with skill, flair and plenty of entertainment. The rivalry with Celtic, their Glasgow neighbours, is almost as old as the latter club and the Old Firm game remains among the biggest and most passionate sporting spectacles there are. Following the Ibrox disaster when 66 fans died, the stadium has been completely re-built and boasts some the most modern facilities of any club in the world today. |
